Anthony Joshua vs Andy Ruiz Jr 2 full undercard confirmed as Dillian Whyte and Alexander Povetkin to fight ahead of blockbuster rematch

Dillian Whyte will be among the fighters in action on the undercard for Anthony Joshua’s world title rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr in Saudi Arabia.

Whyte beat Oscar Rivas at The O2 in July but has been out since allegations of a failed drugs test emerged.

The Body Snatcher will make his boxing comeback next weekend and will make up a stellar card for Joshua vs Ruiz Jr 2.

Whyte, 31, will face Poland’s 39-year-old former WBC champ Mariusz Wach while fellow Brit Tom Little takes on Azerbaijan’s Mahammadrasul Majidov, the three-time world amateur heavyweight champ.

Also on the bill will be Joshua’s former victims Alexander Povetkin and Eric Molina.

Russia’s ex-world champ Povetkin will meet USA’s Michael Hunter in a WBA world heavyweight title eliminator. Povetkin was knocked out in brutal fashion by Joshua in September last year.

Croat Filipo Hrgovic enters the ring in the Saudi desert against two-time world title contender Eric Molina with the WBC international crown at stake. Molina also suffered a hard defeat to AJ in December 2016.

Seven fights in total have been confirmed by promoters Matchroom, with five of them heavyweight clashes.

Super middleweight prospect Diego Pacheco and decorated amateur Hopey Price are also in action with their opponents still to be announced.

Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn believes the card is full of mighty trumps.

He posted on Twitter: “HEAVY HITTERS. 10 big men line up for a historic night in Saudi Arabia!!!!”

Joshua and Ruiz Jr will, of course, headline the huge night of action and are expected to make their ring walks at 10pm GMT – 1am in Saudi Arabia.
