Manny Pacquiao has signed with the sports management company that represents Conor McGregor – fuelling rumours the pair will meet in a boxing fight.
The company, Paradigm Sports, have partnered with Pacquiao’s existing team, which includes business manager, Arnold Vegafria, his associate Ping Nepomuceno and legal counsel Brando Viernesto.
“I am proud to partner with Paradigm Sports Management and am excited for the opportunities that Audie Attar and PSM have to offer,” says Pacquiao.
“One thing I want everyone to remember is to always think positively. Never think negatively; that is the beginning of your downfall. Everything is possible”.
Rumours that Pacquiao and McGregor could meet in a boxing match have ran wild for a while and the Irishman has already vowed to return to the sport some day soon, after his money-spinning clash with Floyd Mayweather in August.
Attar, who Pacquiao references in his statement, is thought to be largely responsible for making the Mayweather/McGregor boxing match come to fruition and that became one of the most lucrative fights in sporting history.
“I’m honored to have the opportunity not only to maximize Manny’s boxing career but to help him continue to leave a legacy he is proud of through the lens of business and sport,” Attar said.
“My approach is to focus on each client and their goals always, and I look forward to fighting on his behalf.”

While McGregor is their most notorious client – see what we did there? – Paradigm represents other elite MMA talent, including middleweight champioon Israel Adesanya, Leon Edwards, and Cris Cyborg.
McGregor looks set to get another run at Khabib Nurmagomedov this year, according to Dana White, and that fight would easily become UFC’s highest grossing ever, eclipsing their first fight.
Pacquiao’s future is less clear and at 41 years old and a career that’s been active since 1995 – where he’s become an eight-division champion – he has nothing left to prove.
In all likelihood, this should be a surefire signal that they are working towards a Pacquiao vs McGregor boxing bout.
