Manchester United remain hopeful a deal for Bruno Fernandes can be completed before the January transfer window closes at the end of the month. United continue to keep tabs on the 25-year-old with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, the club’s manager, reportedly scouting Fernandes in person before signing off on a deal for the highly-rated midfielder. And it appears the boss was suitably impressed with the latest reports claiming a £65million bid is set to be submitted by United. FULL STORY

Liverpool youngster Nathaniel Phillips has returned to Stuttgart on loan for the rest of the season. The centre-back joined the 2.Bundesliga club in August and made 11 appearances in all competitions. He was recalled at the start of the month, though, as the Reds faced an injury crisis at that position but has now returned as players start to regain full fitness. FULL STORY

Joe Hart was snubbed by AC Milan as they close in on signing another Premier League goalkeeper on loan instead. The 32-year-old wants to leave Burnley after making just two cup appearances this season. Milan, who are looking for a Pepe Reina replacement, are close to loaning Asmir Begovic from Bournemouth for the rest of the season. FULL STORY

Chelsea have made an enquiry to Brighton for defender Lewis Dunk. Frank Lampard is in the market for a central defender after his side leaked plenty of goals in the first half of the season. Dunk is valued at around £50million by the Seagulls who would be willing to let him leave to a club of Chelsea’s stature. (The Times)

Tottenham playmaker Christian Eriksen has agreed a four-and-a-half year deal with Inter. The Dane has been heavily linked with a switch to Antonio Conte’s side this month and Spurs are demanding £17.5million for the 27-year-old they signed from in 2013. FULL STORY

Barcelona have been in contact with Mauricio Pochettino about replacing Ernesto Valverde. The Argentinian has been out of work since his sacking by Tottenham last year but has now emerged as one of the favourites for the LaLiga giants. Club legend Xavi is also a contender but reports suggesting an agreement had already been reached were rubbished by his current club Al Sadd. (AS)

Javier Hernandez will meet with LA Galaxy over a possible deal to join MLS. The former Manchester United and West Ham striker is currently at LaLiga club Sevilla. He joined from the Hammers in August for a reported £7.3million but could already be on the move again. (Marca)
